Description
A portrait of Eve in The Garden of Eden being tempted by the serpent to eat the fruit from The Tree of Knowledge.-------
about 12 hours, photoshop + walcom tablet
--------
This was the first time I "successfully" used myself as a reference. However, it turned out to look a little more like me than I wanted it to. I'm not very good with altering my references...
So I guess if you wanted to, you could call it a self-portrait. In that case, it would be my first one ever!

I think the figure is rendered very well. Wonderful job on the skin tones and blending. The hair, especially that close to the top of the head, is great.
The snake needs some work. As others have mentioned, it's a bit soft compared to the rest of the work. Additionally, there is an odd look to the portion coming out of Eve's hair. Since the scales don't have a treatment accounting for perspective and foreshortening, it appears that the snake just drops down and abruptly goes to the right, like a big "L". The top portion of the snake's head looks very realistic, though the bottom is a bit off. The jaw is at a different angle than the rest off the head and doesn't seem to join up cleanly with the rest. Not that it's required, since it's your painting, but snakes don't have very developed bottom teeth, so the illusion of realism is somewhat broken.
The background is a lovely compliment to pretty much all the foreground elements. Great color and lighting!
EDIT: And you're just cute as a button

The eyes are kinda wacky, considering the iris looks three D.... that was a compliment, btw, if you misinterpreted it. Touches of wackiness are so cool. And I mean, seriously, this is stunning. Well deserving of #1, I adore snakes and the snake my my jaw DROP.
