Description
This was a really fun piece for me. It really came out of nowhere, I wasn't even feeling particularly 'inspired' but it all just sort of came out. It was originally supposed to be someone else but I decided to go with this. This is a character I made up when i was a little girl. She's the goddess of plants and in her mortal life she was a princess(which is why she's so fancy). She was supposed to marry the god of plants but she died and he fell in love with someone else before they even met. I never had a name for her but I thought I should and I've always liked Evangeline. .... I was a very romantic child. haha
Her outfit is a tiny bit too Marie Antoinette for me, but it was all fun to do so I'm fine with it. I really didn't know what to do for the background, I really really suck at backgrounds, I get impatient and uncreative with them, but this one will do.
I started this last night and worked on it all day today. It took about one and half seasons of Friends to do(I always watch it when I paint).
Drawn in pencil, painted in photoshop.

it seems like you paid all the attention to her eyes and it doesn't match the style of the rest of your pic, though, because her eyes are semi-realistic while the rest is very impressionistic with soft pastelly colours
i like the grass and the foliage anyway, it is indeed romantic
i have only one personal peeve of this image, though. Her skin tone looks....orange. it looks like she got a bit too fake-tan happy. But then again i'm a bratty little goff girl
